Kannur: A significant robbery occurred at Pariyaram Chitappile Poyil in Kannur. The incident occurred at Abdullah’s residence in Najia Manzil, Palunkubazar. Thieves made off with 35 sovereigns of gold jewelry, Rs 15,000 in cash, and several valuable documents.
The theft occurred while Abdullah and his family had locked their house at 8 pm the previous night and had gone to the nearby mosque to celebrate Nabi Day. The thief gained entry to the house by cutting through the grills of a rear window using a gas cutter. CCTV footage revealed the moment when the grills were cut at 9:50 pm. The robbery happened while Abdullah, who is an expatriate, was on vacation. The Pariyaram police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.
