Idukki: A migrant worker died after a pickup van overturned into a gorge at Cheeyappara near Adimali. The deceased was identified as Sikander Ali (26), a native of Assam.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. today. The pickup van carrying a concrete mixer machine and motors from Munnar to Vazhakulam was hit by an accident. The accident took place at Chackochivalavu, near Cheeyappara, between Adimali and Neriamangalam.
The rescue operation was carried out by the locals and the fire force. The body was shifted to the mortuary at Adimali Taluk Hospital.
