Chennai: In a highly anticipated showdown at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, India is set to face its formidable opponent, Australia, in the ICC Men’s World Cup. The latest update reveals that Australia has won the toss and opted to bat first, setting the stage for an intense battle on Sunday.

For India, the challenge is immense as they aim to recapture the winning form that led them to victory in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. Despite being favourites, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian side is expected to face a stern test against the in-form Australian team in this crucial opener.

Australia’s playing XI showcases a formidable lineup, with Adam Zampa being the sole spinner. The Aussies also boast spin and all rounder options in Marnus Labuschagne and Glenn Maxwell, while their pace attack is led by Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood, and captain Pat Cummins.

Australia’s Playing XI: David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazelwood

India, on the other hand, has fielded a strong Playing XI to counter the Australian challenge:

Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit  Bumrah,
