Thiruvananthapuram: A complaint has been registered against the police, that they assaulted an individual who reported an incident of violence in the middle of the road. According to the complaint filed, a nursing assistant named Saneesh from Kollam, was subjected to physical violence by the police.

Saneesh contacted the police control room on a Monday night, reporting a disturbance caused by two intoxicated individuals in the middle of the road. In response to his call, the police promptly arrived at the location known as Kabaradi, as per the instructions from the control room.

However, upon reaching the scene, it was determined that there was no apparent issue or disturbance. This led to the police calling Saneesh to come to the location, and unfortunately, an altercation between the two groups escalated, resulting in Saneesh being physically assaulted by the police.

In a contrasting account of the incident, the police have defended their actions by claiming that Saneesh had misled them and wasted their valuable time. They assert that Saneesh provided discrepant information, which prompted their investigation.
