Dehradun: The mountain ranges of Uttarakhand are welcoming the season’s first snowfall. The Kalapani Ranges and Om Ranges have been covered with snow. The Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand has received the first snowfall of the season.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported the chance of snowfall and light rain in various parts of Uttarakhand. IMD has reported potential snowfall in areas such as Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bhubaneswar, and Pithoragarh.

The Shri Badarinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has made an important announcement regarding the closing of Gangotri Dham’s temple doors on November 14 for the Govardhan Puja ceremonies. The committee has also stated that the date for the closure of the Badrinath Temple will be determined on Vijayadashami.

The Badrinath temple is located on the banks of the Alaknanda River in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It is one of the five important temples known as Panch Badri. The temple holds a significant place among the 108 Divya Desams devoted to Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped as Badrinath, and is a sacred pilgrimage site for Vaishnavas.
