Kannur: In Kannur, a significant task is underway as uniforms worn by Israeli forces on the battlefield are now being sewn. This important endeavor for Israel has been entrusted to Maryan Apparel Private Limited, located in Kannur’s Kuthuparamba.
In addition to serving Israel, this facility also manufactures uniforms for various forces, such as the Philippine Army and the Qatar Air Force. It is from this very place that the distinctive black uniforms required by the armies of several countries, as well as prison warder uniforms, are meticulously made.
Notably, a substantial majority of the 1,500 employees at this facility are women. The owner of the establishment shared that women from the surrounding area receive the necessary training to become skilled in uniform-making. Furthermore, they are currently in the process of hiring an additional 1,000 workers and have approached the government for support in expanding the building.
