Renowned Malayalam writer MT Vasudevan Nair selected to receive the Kerala Legislative Assembly Award

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Popular Malayalam writer MT Vasudevan Nair has been selected for the Legislative Assembly Award in recognition of his comprehensive contributions to the fields of literature and culture. The award includes a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, a citation, and a memento.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will present the award to MT Vasudevan Nair at the inaugural function of the second Kerala Legislature International Book Festival (KLIBF), which is set to commence on November 1, 2023, as announced by Speaker AN Shamseer on October 18.

The second KLIBF, scheduled from November 1 to 7, will showcase 240 book releases, 30 book discussions, ‘Meet the Author’ events, panel discussions, special talks, and poetry sessions. As of now, 255 exhibition stalls have been booked by 160 publishers.
