PUNE: Air India Express and AirAsia India jointly introduced their new, unified branding as ‘Air India Express’ on the latest Boeing 737-8 aircraft. The refreshed branding showcases a modern appearance marked by vibrant colours and striking aircraft livery.

Under the theme of “Fly as you are,” the airline expressed its commitment to establishing meaningful connections among places, people, and cultures. Their vision is to deliver seamless, digitally enhanced travel experiences that offer exceptional value while maintaining a unique sense of Indian warmth in their service.

The grand unveiling event featured Campbell Wilson, Chairman of Air India Express, and Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, inaugurating the updated brand identity, logo, and new aircraft livery on the first brand-new Boeing 737-8, the latest addition to the airline’s rapidly expanding fleet of 58 aircraft.

Campbell Wilson, Chairman of Air India Express, emphasised the significance of this development, saying, “With the merger of Air India Express and AirAsia India in its final stages, we are witnessing a transformation in the aviation landscape. We are proud to present the new brand of Air India Express, a vital part of the new Air India Group. Our mission is to provide the best value, accessibility, and domestic and regional connectivity to every Indian, becoming the airline of a new generation. The broader ambition is to enhance connections among India and its people, as well as the world.”

The livery of the newly introduced Boeing 737-8 aircraft draws inspiration from the Bandhani textile design. Upcoming aircraft in the fleet will feature designs inspired by various traditional patterns, including Ajrakh, Patola, Kanjeevaram, and Kalamkari, showcasing India’s rich artistic diversity. The airline’s ‘Patterns of India’ theme embodies the spirit of the nation and narrates its stories through a visual journey, reaffirming its commitment to offering aspirational travel experiences marked by technology, accessibility, thoughtful design, and the unmistakable essence of Indian hospitality.
