Motor Vehicle Department cancels license of private bus for misconduct towards school girl

Kottayam: The motor vehicle department has taken action against a bus conductor, by cancelling the licence of a private bus, for misbehaving with a school girl studying at KPMHSS School in Poothotta. The incident occurred on October 26 around 4 p.m. The conductor, employed by the Priyadarshini bus on the Vaikom-Ernakulam route, has been identified as Vinod Prasanna ,is a native of Udayanapuram.

After the conductor’s misbehavior, the victim promptly filed a complaint at the Vaikom RT office, leading to an investigation conducted by motor vehicle inspector KG Biju. The inquiry revealed a pattern of regular misbehaviour by the conductor with female students, prompting the motor vehicle department to take immediate action. Following the incident, Vaikom Joint RTO Nisha K. Mani suspended the licence of the private bus for three months.
