Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert for the state, predicting heavy rainfall with strong thunderstorms at isolated places today. The forecast includes a chance of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in isolated areas on November 14 and 15.
As a precautionary measure, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning to residents in coastal areas, anticipating strong winds reaching up to 40 km per hour. Special caution is advised, and people are urged to stay away from danger zones, particularly in coastal areas. Fishing at night has been prohibited due to the likelihood of rough seas intensifying. For safety, the Meteorological Department said to make sure fishing boats and other vessels are safely anchored in harbours.
