THRISSUR: A 54-year-old man has been arrested for illicit liquor sale. Nambyat Sunil Kumar, a native of Thekkumkara in Thrissur district, was arrested in connection with the illicit sale of liquor. Police reported that the accused sold liquor based on orders received through phone calls. The arrest was made by a police team led by Irinjalakuda Circle Inspector Anish Karim.
The accused was apprehended following numerous complaints of widespread illegal liquor sales in Vellangallur Panchayath. Sunil Kumar would deliver liquor to customers at their requested locations based on phone orders. At the time of the arrest, 9 bottles of liquor were seized from him.
