IDUKKI: The Branch Manager of Nedumkandam Service Co-operative Bank, Idukki district was found dead. Nedumkandam Branch Manager, Deepu Sukumaran, was found hanging in the bedroom of his house today morning.
The incident took place today after he returned from the co-operative bank to have food at his nearby home.
His wife found out about the incident after he had kept the room door closed for a while. Concerned, she searched for him and broke down the door. Deepu was then rushed to a nearby private hospital, but his life could not be saved. The police have registered a case of unnatural death.
After the post-mortem examination, the body will be handed over to the relatives.
Deepu’s mother, Rama Sukumaran, is the former president of Nedumkandam village panchayat, and his father, KK Sukumaran, is the Kerala State Service Pensioners Union (KSSPU) Idukki district president.
