Each family of the deceased will be granted Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, as decided in a recent cabinet meeting. The decision also includes provisions for covering medical expenses for those undergoing treatment, even in private hospitals.

The blast, which sent shockwaves across the state, occurred in Kalamassery on October 29. In a related development, Dominic Martin, the accused in the Kalamassery blast case, has been remanded once again. He will remain in custody until the 29th of this month, following a court hearing at the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court today.

During the court proceedings, Dominic Martin expressed no objection to the police, stating that he had no complaints against the investigating officers emphasizing that everyone had behaved appropriately. Subsequently, Dominic Martin is slated to be transferred to Kakkanadu District jail.
