Thrissur: The Child Welfare Officer for Thrissur District, KA Bindu, has been suspended following an incident where she organized prayers to eliminate negative energy at the Thrissur District Child Welfare Office in Civil Station, under the Women and Child Development Department. The suspension comes after a departmental investigation.
Last week, a prayer session was held at the office under the guidance of the District Child Protection Officer. KA Bindu had encouraged office employees to participate in the prayer, which took place around 4.30 pm. Childline workers in the same office were also required to attend. The prayer was led by one of the workers, holding a cross and a Bible.
Upon assuming her role, Bindu frequently expressed concerns that the office was filled with negative energy, and the prayer session was organised to address these concerns.
