Chennai: The Madras High Court has ruled against Mansoor Ali Khan in his defamation case against popular actor Trisha. The court also dismissed the petitions filed against Chiranjeevi and Khushbu by imposing a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on Mansoor Ali Khan.
Mansoor had sought compensation of Rs. 1 crore and alleged defamation against Trisha, claiming intentional misrepresentation of his statements as a joke. However, the court, in its dismissal of the case, criticised Mansoor for approaching the legal system for the sake of publicity.
The court not only rejected the demand for compensation but also imposed a fine on Mansoor Ali Khan. The court questioned the legitimacy of Mansoor’s case, stating that he should learn to conduct himself appropriately in public spaces.
