KANNUR: Raseena, a native of Thalassery, was remanded by the court for assaulting a police Sub-Inspector while under the influence of alcohol.
The incident took place yesterday at Kooli Bazar. Raseena drove the car recklessly, crashing into other vehicles. Following the collision, she physically attacked and verbally abused the public who questioned her about her rash driving.
A police team, led by SI Deepthi, soon arrived at the spot and took Raseena to the police station. Later, while being taken to Thalassery General Hospital for a medical examination, Raseena attacked the SI.
She was subsequently produced in court and remanded for 14 days. The police reported that this was not the first time Raseena had caused public disturbances under the influence of alcohol.
