Makers claims news about the censorship of film ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ as fake

Thiruvananthapuram: According to a report, producers of the much-anticipated film ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban,’ starring Mohanlal, have dismissed recent news reports suggesting that the movie has undergone censorship. Entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai clarified that the original Malayalam version of the film is yet to be censored.

Pillai, in a recent statement, revealed that the producers of ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ have refuted the allegations, emphasising that as of now, no version of the movie has undergone the censorship process. He further added that the Malayalam version is expected to undergo censorship only before when the film’s release date approaches , with an anticipated runtime of two hours and 37 minutes.

As of now only Malayalam version will be censored close to release.

Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery, ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ marks the first collaboration between Pellissery and Mohanlal. The period drama showcases the veteran actor in the role of a wrestler from the pre-independence era, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film’s release.
