Idukki: The police said that the incident in which the father of Vandiperiyar case victim was stabbed was an attempt to murder. In the FIR, police stated that the accused Paulraj tried to kill victim’s father by deliberately causing provocation. He has been charged with offenses, including attempted murder. The accused was then presented in the court and subsequently remanded.
The incident happened yesterday morning when Paulraj made obscene gestures toward the child’s father and grandfather, who were riding a bike. While questioning this, Paulraj stabbed the child’s father with a knife, inflicting wounds on both legs and injuring his chest. The grandfather of the murdered child who was with him was also injured. Both were then shifted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
