New Delhi: Ferry through the sea between Maldives and Kerala got the sanction of the cabinet meeting of Central government presided by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On 8th of June this year Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed the agreement with Maldivian Government to strengthen the bilateral trade and extension of human resources.
All the major projects in the Maldives is built by GOI and now we have given more funds for the development and also sanctioned revolving credit system to help the trade. India also gave arrangements to get 100 Million American Doller aid to the Maldives.
The capital city of Maldives ‘Male’ and an island Kulhudhuffushi have all the facility for trade and tourism. Kerala, sharing the benefit of distance to travel 500 to 700 KM only is the added advantage.
