Ration distribution in crisis as ration transportation contractors announce indefinite strike

Thiruvananthapuram: Ration distribution and storage in the state face a crisis as ration food grain transportation contractors are set to initiate an indefinite strike starting tomorrow. The contractors have declared a complete halt to the transportation of ration goods, citing the non-payment of dues by the government as the primary reason for their action. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue through dialogue, the contractors’ association states that they cannot continue their services until the outstanding dues are cleared by the government.
