Army brings under control forest fire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch

Poonch: A massive fire broke out in the forest area near Dera ki Gali, in the early hours of Sunday, posing a threat to lives and infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. The Indian Army, in collaboration with security agencies, promptly responded to the emergency, effectively bringing the fire under control.

The PRO Defence also shared a brief video clip showcasing the operation, depicting dedicated defense personnel actively involved in extinguishing the flames.

This incident follows a similar occurrence in December when a massive fire engulfed the Patlikuhal forest area in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, causing substantial damage to forest wealth worth crores of rupees.
