Thiruvananthapuram: In a highly eventful third T20I match against Afghanistan, team Bharat secured a thrilling victory after paying two super overs after regular match. The match played yesterday witnessed a unique scenario as Rohit sharma stood in the crease for three times in a single game, sparking debates over the legality of such a move. However, umpires have since clarified the situation.

During the first super over, Rohit returned to the pavilion with the team’s score at 15, surprising many spectators. The strategic move was to bring in Rinku, who is able to run across the pitch faster than Rohit to take three runs on the last ball. Unfortunately, striker Yashasvi Jaiswal could only manage to take a single run, leading the game to yet another super over.

Questions arose when Rohit stepped onto the crease for the second super over. Umpires explained that Rohit was not out in the first super over, highlighting that an injured player is allowed to resume batting. If he had been declared out, this feat would not have been possible.

In the final match in Bengaluru, the Afghan team exhibited remarkable fighting spirit in a contest that swung between victories and losses. The exciting turn of events has left cricket enthusiasts buzzing about the nail-biting match and the strategic decisions that shaped its outcome.
