Kochi: Two individuals were taken into custody after a shooting incident at Edassery Bar in Kathrikadavu. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 pm last night, when two individuals allegedly verbally abused and assaulted the bar manager. Meanwhile, the police officers have not clarified whether the two individuals taken into custody are the accused.
An abandoned car was discovered in Muvattupuzha before the two individuals were taken into custody, leading authorities to believe it might have been used by the accused individuals. Investigations revealed that the suspects had rented a car. Fingerprint experts have been called in to examine the abandoned car for further evidence. After the shooting incidents, the accused individuals fled the scene in a car.
Three individuals were injured in the attack, with two sustaining gunshot wounds inflicted by an air pistol. The injured individuals were identified as Sujin Johnson and Akhilnath. Sujin suffered a bullet wound in the abdomen, while Akhilnath was wounded in the thigh. Both are currently receiving treatment at the Medical Trust Hospital in Ernakulam. Sujin’s condition is critical, and he has been admitted to the ICU.
