Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices experienced a decline today after four consecutive days of increases. The market value of one sovereign of gold dropped by Rs 80, priced at Rs 45,880. Over the past four days, gold rates surged by Rs 440, marking a noticeable fluctuation in the market.
Today, the price of 22-carat gold decreased marginally by Rs 10, now priced at Rs 5,735 per gram, while 18-carat gold witnessed a similar trend, dropping to Rs 4,735 per gram.
Silver prices remained unchanged, with common silver priced at Rs 78 per gram and hallmark silver maintaining its market value at Rs 103 per gram.
