Kochi: The South Eastern Railways has announced that the Ernakulam-Tatanagar Express train will operate daily in order to meet passengers’ needs. Previously operating twice a week, particularly on Thursdays and Sundays, the Tatanagar-Ernakulam Express will now run daily from March 7 onwards, while the Ernakulam-Tatanagar Express will commence its daily service on March 10. The train will depart from Ernakulam at 7:15 am.
The expanded service brings relief to passengers, particularly those travelling between Kerala and Chennai. The train will make stops at key stations, including Palakkad, Salem, Chennai, Perambur, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam.
The Ernakulam-Tatanagar Express train features three 2AC coaches, seven 3AC, three 3AC Economy, four Sleeper, one General Class, two Second Class, one AC Pantrycar, two Second Class, two Second class-cum-luggage/Disabled coaches, and one Motor Car-1 coach.
