Union Public Service Commission invites applications for nursing officer recruitment in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation: Apply Now!

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for the recruitment of nursing officers in the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) under the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment. Aspiring candidates are hereby notified that the application process will commence on March 7 and continue until March 27, following the release of the official notification brochure.

The number of vacancies for the post of nursing officer in ESIC has been officially confirmed by the Union Public Service Commission. A total of 1930 vacancies have been announced for various categories, as follows:

  • UR (Unreserved): 892
  • SC (Scheduled Caste): 235
  • ST (Scheduled Tribe): 164
  • OBC (Other Backward Classes): 446
  • EWS (Economically Weaker Section): 193

To be eligible for the position of Nursing Officer under ESIC, candidates must possess a 4-year Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing or 1-year experience in general nursing and midwifery. Additionally, candidates’ age must not be below 18 years or exceed 30 years as of August 1, 2024.

The application fee for the Nursing Officer (Staff Nurse) position under ESIC is expected to be ₹100 for general candidates. However, candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen categories and female aspirants may be exempted from paying any fee.

The selection process for the nursing officer position has been officially released by ESIC and will consist of two stages: a written examination and document verification. Candidates who pass the written exam will proceed to the document verification stage, and the final selection list will be prepared based on their performance in the computer-based test (CBT) or OMR-based exam.

Here are the step-by-step instructions to apply online for the recruitment of a staff nurse (nursing officer):

  1. Visit the UPSC website at https://upsc.gov.in/.
  2. Navigate to the “Recruitment” section.
  3. Find the specific link related to “Recruitment of Nursing Officers (Staff Nurses) in ESIC 2024.”
  4. Click on “Apply Online” to access the application portal.
  5. Fill in your basic and educational qualification details accurately and review all information provided.
  6. Upload the required scanned documents, including your photograph and signature, in the specified format and size.
  7. Proceed to the payment section to pay the required fee and submit the application form.
