Baramulla: Two terrorists have been eliminated by the security forces in an encounter in Sopore area of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday morning.
On receiving credible inputs on the presence of terrorists in the area, an operation was launched on Wednesday night. A police officer said that contact was established with terrorists on Thursday morning.
A joint team of Police, 22 RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Hardshiva. The joint team tightened the cordon near the hideout of terrorists when they started firing on the security forces.
Mobile internet services have been snapped in the area.
