Thiruvananthapuram: The film ‘Manjummel Boys’ is making waves in the Malayalam cinema industry, setting box office records and captivating audiences. Chandu Salimkumar, the son of a renowned actor, has played a pivotal role in the film, garnering attention for his exceptional performance.
In an interview, Chandu revealed his aspirations and journey, that he went to study civil service and post-graduation with hopes of securing a job quickly. Chandu then expressed his ambition to write a script in English and clinch an Oscar, aiming for Hollywood recognition.
Reflecting on his childhood dreams, Chandu disclosed that films had always captivated his imagination. He said that he went for civil service coaching after watching the film ‘Vikramadithyan’. His idea was to get married soon after becoming a collector, but everything changed then. He said that he took a Master’s degree in literature to secure a job. He also said that his love for writing and cinema remained strong.
