Thiruvananthapuram: Prithviraj Productions has received commendation from the Central Ministry for its diligent filing and timely payment of GST taxes. Recently, the company was presented with a certificate from the Central Board of Indirect Tax, a division under the Union Ministry of Finance. This recognition specifically acknowledges their tax compliance for the financial year 2022–23.

It’s worth noting that Prithviraj had previously faced false allegations of tax evasion and subsequent fines from certain online media outlets. However, the actor swiftly refuted these claims and released a statement clarifying the situation, emphasising the need to take legal action against such baseless accusations.

The company also expanded its operations into film distribution, handling notable releases like Rajinikanth’s “Petta” in 2019. Subsequently, they distributed films such as “Master,” “KGF2,” “Kanthara,” and “777 Charlie” in the state of Kerala.

Collaborating with Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames, Prithviraj Productions has ventured into co-producing films. Their inaugural joint project was “Driving License.”

In related news, Mammootty Kampany Films Pvt Ltd, owned by actor Mammootty, has also been acknowledged by the Ministry of Finance and the Government of India for its prompt filing and payment of GST taxes.
