Mumbai: Prior to the release of the much-anticipated film ‘Jawan,’ there were widespread rumours circulating about a potential cameo appearance by South Indian superstar Thalapathy Vijay alongside Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan. However, these speculations have been officially put to rest by filmmaker Atlee, who directed the movie. According to a report, Atlee has confirmed that there were never any plans for Vijay to make a cameo in ‘Jawan,’ but he does have grand plans for a future collaboration between the two mega-stars.
Addressing the rumours, Atlee explained, “There is a reason why Vijay’s cameo isn’t there in ‘Jawan.’ I will be writing a script for Shah Rukh, sir, and Vijay. They have played a big role in my career. One day I will find a script that will bring them together.” This revelation has ignited excitement among fans of both actors, who eagerly await the day when they will share the screen in a significant project.
‘Jawan,’ produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, was released on September 7 and has been met with considerable success, earning a staggering Rs 735 crore in the box office in just nine days. The film boasts an ensemble cast, with Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan after ‘Pathaan, ‘in the female lead role, Vijay Sethupathy portraying the antagonist. The star-studded cast also includes Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, and Sunil Grover. The film’s music is composed by the talented Rockstar Anirudh.
Atlee, known for his directorial prowess, also shared insights into the possibility of sequels or spin-off films related to his past works. He stated, “All my films have an open-ending climax. I haven’t really thought of a sequel to any of my films so far. If a fascinating idea comes, I will definitely do it.” He further hinted that if such a project were to materialise, Vikram Rathore’s character would take centre stage.
