Mumbai: Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s latest cinematic venture, “Jawan,” directed by Atlee, has set a remarkable milestone by entering the coveted ₹1000 crore club in a mere 18 days since its release. This cinematic achievement reinforces Shah Rukh Khan’s indomitable star power and the film’s immense appeal to audiences worldwide.
“Jawan,” which features an ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles, has been captivating audiences across the globe, leading to its unprecedented success. Red Chillies Entertainment proudly shared the film’s astounding box office numbers on social media, announcing its entry into the exclusive club of films grossing over ₹1000 crore.
A promotional video accompanying the announcement provided a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan in his role as Vikram Rathore, alongside his on-screen son, Azad. The video displayed the staggering figure of “₹1004.92 crore worldwide gross,” emphasising the magnitude of “Jawan’s” triumph.

Earlier this year, Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan,” featuring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, crossed the ₹1000 crore mark at the worldwide box office. “Pathaan” achieved this remarkable feat approximately four weeks after its release, on February 21. In stark contrast, “Jawan” surpassed this milestone in a mere 18 days since its release on September 7, captivating audiences in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Shah Rukh Khan has now achieved the unique distinction of being the only actor in India to secure a spot in the 1000 crore club twice in a single year.
“Jawan” continued to demonstrate its box office dominance, experiencing a notable surge in collections during its third weekend. On Saturday, the film’s worldwide gross collection stood at ₹979.08 crore, and it further soared with a ₹25.84 crore haul on Sunday, culminating in a total worldwide gross of over ₹1004 crore.
According to reports, “Jawan” garnered ₹14.95 crore nett in India on its third Sunday, propelling its domestic box office total to an impressive ₹560.78 crore. The film’s remarkable journey began with a staggering ₹75 crore net in India across all languages on its opening day. In its first week, “Jawan” amassed ₹389.88 crore in India, with an additional ₹136.1 crore in the second week.
Beyond the star-studded ensemble of Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, “Jawan” also features Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya. The film includes cameo appearances by Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone, further enhancing its appeal to audiences.
