Thiruvananthapuram: Renowned actor Mohanlal’s latest film, “Neru,” is creating waves of enthusiasm worldwide, captivating audiences, and dominating the box office charts. The film’s success extends overseas, where it has garnered an impressive Rs. 50 crore within just eight days of its release.
Even in the Gulf region, “Neru” has been embraced wholeheartedly by fans, adding Rs. 20 crore to its global earnings. Released as a special Christmas gift for Keralite audiences, the film has sparked a tenfold increase in fan enthusiasm.
The film was screening only on 18 screens in the US on its initial day of release, and then the film’s popularity led to an expansion, and it is currently being screened on 48 screens. Also in Kerala, ‘Neru’ was screened on 200 screens on its initial day, and its subsequent success has led to an expansion, now being shown on 350 screens. Globally, “Neru” has grossed over Rs. 70 crore, with fans eagerly anticipating it to reach the coveted Rs. 100 crore milestone in the coming days.
