Thiruvananthapuram: Prashanth Varma’s superhero film, ‘Hanu-Man,’ starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, is enjoying its success at the box office. According to a report, the makers recently disclosed that they have donated Rs 14 lakh from the film’s ticket sales to the Ram Mandir Trust. Actor Chiranjeevi had earlier declared at a pre-release event that Rs 5 from every ticket sold for the ‘Hanu-Man’ movie would be contributed to the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Director Prashanth Varma shared that the film’s producer had initially planned to donate Rs 5 from each ticket sale, irrespective of the film’s performance in theaters. With ‘Hanu-Man’ proving to be a commercial success, the producer aspires to make even more substantial contributions to the temple fund, aiming to donate crores.
‘Hanuman’ is the inaugural installment in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). The film has received acclaim for its technical aspects, including VFX effects. Alongside Teja Sajja, the cast includes Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer, and Vinay Rai in prominent roles.
