Actor Mohanlal reveals more about “Malaikottai Vaaliban” in a press conference

Thiruvananthapuram: As the release date for “Malaikottai Vaaliban” approaches, the makers of the film have given fans a glimpse of what to expect in this much-anticipated movie during a press conference.

“Malaikottai Vaaliban” is set to showcase Mohanlal in a new avatar, portraying him as a warrior. The stars have shared that the film promises a folk tale with an unexpected climax. During the press conference, the crew emphasised that the movie brings a unique blend to Malayalam cinema, a rare type not seen before.

Mohanlal, speaking about the film, expressed uncertainty about how the audience will receive it in theatres, acknowledging the unpredictability of audience reactions. The team behind “Malaikottai Vaaliban” encourages viewers to judge the film’s merits for themselves, hinting at a cinematic journey that defies expectations.

He also mentioned that the movie, unlike many Malayalam films, was not shot in Kerala. Over a span of 130 days, filming took place in diverse locations such as Rajasthan, Chennai, and Pondicherry, providing the film with a rich and varied backdrop. According to Mohanlal, this character portrayal is a unique , which he hasn’t done ever before, and unprecedented experience for him.

Director Lijo Jose Pillissery shared insights into the production process, stating that it took a year to complete filming. The crew extensively shot scenes in different locations, including Chennai, Pondicherry, and Rajasthan, contributing to the film’s diverse visual narrative.

Producer Shibu Benny Jhon expressed his gratitude for being part of this highly anticipated project, emphasising that “Malaikottai Valiban” guarantees a distinct and pure theatre experience for the audience. He recommended the film, also for family audiences, and highlighted Mohanlal’s exceptional performance.

Actor Hareesh Peradi shared that he plays a crucial role in the film, spoke about the uniqueness of his character and his sixth collaboration with Mohanlal. He expressed confidence that the film would offer audiences a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience.
