The third instalment in the Don series is currently in its writing stage, confirmed by producer Ritesh Sidwani. He said that he is not aware of the plot, as his partner (Farhan Akhtar) is currently in the writing of the film. Also adding that until then they will not do anything about the movie.
Ritesh Sidwani has been a long time partner of actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar under the production banner of Excel Entertainments. They have worked together on some of the most iconic films like Dil Chahta Hai, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Gully Boy and both Don: The Chase Begins and Don 2: The King is Back.
Don is originally adapted from the 1978 Amitabh Bachchan film of the same name itself, but the plot of the adaption was slightly tweaked by Farhan Akhtar which led to the creation of this action-thriller franchise.
Excel Entertainments currently produced the Amazon Prime web-series ‘Dahaad’ which is doing well with massive positive reviews. The series is a crime drama set in the outskirts of Rajasthan, revolving around murders of several women.
