Mumbai: The makers of an upcoming untitled romantic drama film featuring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon have officially announced a new release date for the movie. Maddock Films, the production house, took to Instagram to share a film poster and reveal that the impossible love story will unfold on December 7, 2023. The film, collaboration between Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, marks the first on-screen pairing of Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. It is written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar under the banner of Maddock Films.
Initially scheduled for an October 2023 release, the film will now hit theatres in December. Alongside Shahid and Kriti, the legendary actor Dharmendra also features in the cast. The makers had previously unveiled a captivating first look image of Shahid and Kriti, showcasing them sitting on a bike, facing each other, against a sunset backdrop, which garnered significant attention from fans.
Shahid Kapoor was recently seen in the action thriller film ‘Bloody Daddy,’ directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, which streamed on the OTT platform JioCinema. Kriti Sanon, on the other hand, appeared in the pan-India film ‘Adipurush’ opposite Prabhas. She has also lined up projects such as the action thriller film ‘Ganpath: Part 1’ alongside Tiger Shroff and the multi-starrer ‘The Crew’ featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Diljit Dosanjh.
