Hyderabad: In a highly anticipated development, the legendary actor Kamal Haasan has officially joined the star-studded cast of Nag Ashwin’s upcoming film ‘Project K’. This mega-production already boasts leading actors Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in prominent roles. The makers of the film announced that Kamal Haasan will be portraying the antagonist, adding an extra layer of excitement to the much-awaited movie.

According to reports, ‘Project K’ will feature intense clashes between Kamal Haasan and Prabhas, with a significant reliance on state-of-the-art graphics and visual effects. A substantial portion of the film, around 70–75 percent, has already been completed, while Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan have a few more shooting days left.

Prabhas took to his Instagram handle to share the exciting news, posting an announcement video along with a heartfelt caption expressing his honour and gratitude to collaborate with the legendary Kamal Haasan in ‘Project K’. He referred to the opportunity as a dream came true moment, acknowledging the invaluable learning experience alongside a titan of Indian cinema.

Previous reports suggested that Kamal Haasan’s remuneration for the film would amount to a staggering ₹150 crore, nearly double Prabhas’ fee. In ‘Project K’, Kamal Haasan will be seen in an antagonist role, which shines his versatility and innovation.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and made with a budget of ₹500 crore, ‘Project K’ brings together an exceptional technical crew, including composer Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer Djordje Stojiljkovic, and editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
