The highly anticipated horror franchise Saw is all set to release its tenth installment, titled ‘Saw X,’ and fans are in for a spine-chilling treat. The makers recently unveiled the first official trailer, leaving audiences trembling with fear. The film brings back the iconic character of John Kramer, portrayed by Tobin Bell, in what promises to be the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s final games.
Saw X takes viewers on a nightmarish journey, set between the events of Saw I and Saw II. John Kramer, also known as the Jigsaw Killer, is in a desperate battle with cancer and seeks a miraculous cure. He embarks on a risky medical procedure in Mexico, hoping for a cure, but instead, he encounters a terrifying scam that preys on vulnerable individuals.
Refusing to be a victim, the infamous serial killer unleashes his wrath upon the con artists, using his signature style of devious and deranged traps. The film promises to deliver the quintessential Saw experience, with visceral and heart-stopping moments that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
While the plot has been kept under wraps, the return of Tobin Bell as Jigsaw has been teased for this tenth entry in the “Saw” franchise. The character of Jigsaw has been a central force throughout the series, even after his death in “Saw 3,” with appearances in flashbacks that created a complex narrative.
“Saw X” arrives only two years after the previous installment, “Spiral: From the Book of Saw,” which had limited connections to the existing series. Shawnee Smith, a series veteran who plays Amanda Young, returns for “Saw X,” along with a talented cast that includes Synnove Macody Lund, Steven Brand, and Michael Beach, among others.
Director Kevin Greutert helms Saw X, and the creators made an interesting choice to shoot the film in Mexico City, incorporating local talent to add an authentic touch to the production. Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, and Octavio Hinojosa are set to play pivotal roles in the film.
Scheduled for a theatrical release on September 29, “Saw X” promises to captivate fans with all-new twisted traps and a new mystery to solve, capturing their hearts and keeping them at the edge of their seats throughout the movie.
