Dhaka: In a thrilling Test match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan, the Bangladeshi team showcased their exceptional skills to gain a significant advantage on the second day of the match. After posting a formidable total of 382 runs in their first innings, Bangladesh’s bowlers delivered a stellar performance, dismissing Afghanistan for a mere 146 runs.

The Bangladeshi innings, which lasted for 86 overs, saw some impressive batting displays. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, the team managed to accumulate a substantial total. The highlight of their innings was a magnificent knock by Shanto who scored a remarkable 146 runs. Their solid performance laid a solid foundation for Bangladesh’s dominance in the match.

In response, the Afghan team struggled to counter the disciplined bowling attack from Bangladesh. Zazai emerged as the top scorer for Afghanistan, contributing 36 runs from 40 balls. However, the rest of the Afghan batsmen failed to build partnerships and were unable to resist the relentless pressure imposed by the Bangladeshi bowlers.

With Afghanistan trailing by 236 runs in their second innings, their priority now lies in preventing Bangladesh from extending their lead any further. Additionally, they face the daunting task of capturing nine more wickets on the third day of the match to have any chance of salvaging a positive result.
