Mumbai: Mumbai City FC, the reigning champions of the Indian Super League (ISL), has finalized the transfer of talented left-back Akash Mishra from Hyderabad FC. The agreement between the two clubs was officially announced on Monday, with the transfer fee remaining undisclosed. Akash Mishra, known for his impressive defensive skills and attacking prowess, will now don the colors of Mumbai City FC for the upcoming seasons.

The 19-year-old Akash Mishra has signed a five-year contract, extending until May 2028, with the Mumbai-based club. This long-term commitment demonstrates the confidence and belief Mumbai City FC has in the young player’s abilities. As one of the top football clubs in India, Mumbai City FC aims to harness Akash’s potential and contribute to his growth as a professional footballer.

Akash Mishra’s football journey began at a young age when he made a significant move to the U Dream Football Academy in Germany in 2015. This exposure to international training and coaching helped him develop his skills and understanding of the game. After three years in Germany, Akash returned to India and joined the Indian Arrows, a team that competes in the I-League, the top-tier football league in the country.

Making his debut in the 2018-19 seasons, Akash quickly established himself as a reliable and consistent performer for the Indian Arrows. His composed defensive displays and marauding runs down the left flank caught the attention of football enthusiasts and experts alike. Over the course of two seasons, he made 23 appearances for the Arrows, leaving a lasting impression on the field.
