Windsor Park: Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a century in his maiden Test innings for Team India on Thursday (July 13) to join an elite list of Indian greats like Sourav Ganguly, Rohit Sharma, Gundappa Vishwanath, and 13 others. He also broke the record for most balls (350) played on Test debut for India, previously held by Mohammed Azharuddin in 1984 at Eden Gardens (322 balls). He reached three figures on Day 2 of the 1st Test against the West Indies at Windsor Park, Dominica. The 21-year-old broke into the Test side after setting a flurry of records in domestic cricket.

He added 229 runs for the first wicket with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma (103) and finished Day 2 by remaining not out on 143 runs from 350 balls. During his stay at the crease, he scored 14 boundaries and tried to build a fourth wicket partnership with Kohli in the non-strike end.
