Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, has taken a significant stride in modernising banking services by launching a nationwide initiative featuring 6,000 ATMs equipped with the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system. This groundbreaking move allows customers to withdraw cash from Bank of Baroda ATMs without the need for a debit or credit card, marking a pioneering step in the Indian banking sector.

This pioneering service enables account holders from any bank to access their funds through Bank of Baroda ATMs using their UPI mobile application. By leveraging interoperable cardless cash withdrawal technology, Bank of Baroda has streamlined the cash withdrawal process, enhancing convenience and accessibility for customers across the nation.

The UPI Cardless Cash feature is straightforward and user-friendly. Customers simply need to select the “UPI Cardless Cash” option displayed on the ATM screen, enter the desired withdrawal amount, and then scan the QR code presented on the ATM’s display screen using their UPI mobile app. This innovative solution is a result of the Bank of Baroda’s collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), demonstrating the bank’s commitment to embracing cutting-edge technology for the benefit of its customers.
