Hyderabad: Pakistani cricket fan ‘Bashir Chacha’ was arrested for waving the Pakistani flag at the Hyderabad airport. Bashir Chacha, a US citizen of Pakistani origin, displayed the flag upon the arrival of the Pakistan cricket team for the World Cup. Spectators who witnessed this reported the incident to the police, leading to Chacha’s detention. During questioning, Chacha, expressing his deep admiration for the Pakistan cricket team, mentioned he had come to India specifically to watch the match. After verifying his travel history, tickets, and identity cards, the police later released him.
