Accused in matricide case found hanged on a bridge

Kottayam : The accused in the case of murdering his mother, Biju, a native of Panachikkad, was discovered hanged. He had been arrested last year in connection with his mother’s murder and was released on bail just a few days ago.

The discovery was made when he was found hanging from Udikkal Bridge near Vakathanam Church this afternoon. The initial assessment suggests that he may have jumped from the bridge after attaching a rope to a vehicle and tying it around his neck. Following the preliminary investigation, the body was transferred to Kottayam Medical College.
