On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led Rajasthan government, emphasizing concerns about corruption and women’s safety. He expressed his dismay over the high crime rates in the state, particularly crimes against women, riots, and atrocities against Dalits and backward classes. The Prime Minister asserted that these issues have become a tradition in Rajasthan under the Congress’s rule. He also stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would take action against the “corruption” of the Congress-led state government once it wins the upcoming state assembly elections in Rajasthan.

“It pains me to see that the state leads in crime incidents… which state ranks highest in riots… which state tops the list in stone-pelting incidents… which state records the most atrocities against women and Dalits… which state has the worst reputation… is this why you voted for Congress?” he questioned.

He further emphasized that only the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) can bring comprehensive development to Rajasthan. “The development of Rajasthan is the top priority of the central government,” the Prime Minister added.

In his criticism of the Congress in the poll-bound state, Prime Minister Modi claimed that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had “admitted defeat.”

Earlier in the day, PM Modi inaugurated various development projects worth over Rs 7,000 crores in Chittorgarh, reaffirming the BJP’s commitment to ensuring women’s safety in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan, along with four other states, is set to hold elections by the end of this year.
