New Delhi :Indian President Draupadi Murmu has appointed new governors for Odisha and Tripura. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has been appointed as the Governor of Odisha, while Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has been appointed as the Governor of Tripura.
Raghubar Das, the newly appointed Governor, previously served as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand and held the position of Jharkhand BJP president on two occasions. Ganeshi Lal is the incumbent Governor of Odisha, having assumed office in 2018.
On the other hand, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu is the National Secretary of the BJP and has served as a three-time MLA in Andhra Pradesh. Currently, Satyadev Narayan Arya holds the position of Governor in Tripura. He is a BJP leader from Bihar and has previously served as the Governor of Haryana.
The President’s official statement has indicated that these appointments will take effect from the date they assume their respective offices.
