Kannur: A young student drowned while bathing in a temple pond. The deceased, identified as Fas Abdul Jaleel KK (15), was a resident of Andathode. The incident happened on Tuesday between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Fas was a 10th-grade student at Kannur Kakkad Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. On that day, he and a friend went to the Chovva Siva temple pond to take a bath. Fas drowned in the pond as he attempted to swim across the pond, as reported by the local police.
The fire force and the police had initiated a rescue operation, and Fas’s lifeless body was discovered. After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to his relatives.
