Patients narrowly escape as cement layer falls from roof at Kottayam District Hospital

Kottayam: At the district general hospital, a layer of cement fell from the roof of the maternity ward. The incident occurred today at approximately 10 o’clock in the morning. The section of the cement layer located above the pathway leading to the fourth ward, where new mothers are admitted after delivery, fell off.

During the time of the incident, several women were present on the veranda as the ward was undergoing cleaning procedures. They narrowly escaped from the accident. As it is an old building, numerous cement layers have begun to come off from different parts. This worries a lot of people, especially workers.
