Kottayam: A thief in Kumaranalloor has returned the money from the sale of a stolen necklace to its owner. On the 19th of this month, a necklace was stolen from the house of Kunjan, a resident of Kumaranalloor. The stolen necklace belonged to Kunjan’s three-year-old granddaughter and weighed more than a sovereign. The family recalled that the child had been wearing the necklace in the morning, but it disappeared after a visit to a shop in Kumaranalloor in the evening.

The family searched for the missing necklace in various locations but didn’t find it. Two days later, the thief responsible for the theft returned to Kunjan’s home, bringing with him a sum of Rs 52,500 and an apologetic note. He left the things there, and in the note, he expressed his regret for having sold the stolen necklace. And he conveyed that he did not get any peace after seeing the family’s efforts to recover it.
