Kochi: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan described the Kalamassery incident as extremely unfortunate. He reported that all Ernakulam district police officers are on-site, including senior officials like the DGP. The Chief Minister emphasized his commitment to addressing the matter seriously.

Following the blast at the Kalamassery Jehovah Witnesses prayer meeting, the state police chief issued a warning to district police chiefs. The ADGP in charge of law and order rushed to the scene, and the area has been sealed off. Intelligence ADGP will also reach the spot. Anti-terrorist units are conducting an investigation.

The hall was crowded with over 2500 people when several explosions occurred during prayer, with many injured, including a child. Two individuals are in critical condition, and 24 are currently receiving medical treatment.
